Stone Age jewellery

This week, we’ve been getting creative, making some replica Stone Age jewellery. These will be on display for all to see (along with our instructions on how to make them) at our fantastic finish at the end of next half term. They look so realistic! All of Y3 did such a good job!

Stone Age jewellery

Today we have been making Stone Age jewellery out of clay. We made bones, teeth and rocks and threaded them together with a piece of string. They look great! Tomorrow we will be writing instructions in order to tell somebody else how we made them.

Stone Age Cooking!

We’ve had an interesting day in Y3! As we’ve been doing measurement in Maths and instruction writing in Literacy, we thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to do some cooking!

We made edible Stone Age Mammoth poo! Even though it looked disgusting,it smelled and tasted delicious!

We will be writing up our recipe tomorrow so we can try it out at home too. Here’s some of Y3AE hard at work..

Freeze framing

Last week saw us take part in some drama to round off our unit of work on the book ‘Stone Age Boy’. Here are some freeze frames and thought showers to show how the children would feel if they were to meet a Stone Age family!
