Year 3 all looked awesome today dressed up for Halloween and also enjoyed some spooky Halloween dancing. Everyone looked amazing, Mr Boynton’s favourite was the giant unicorn!.
On Wednesday, Year 3 were lucky to have a visit from rock climber, Steve McClure. He showed the children different rocks and spoke about his career, as well as letting the children have a go on his hanging wall. Thank you Steve.
Year 3 have spent the past two weeks creating cave pictures. First we experimented with different lines and using charcoal to draw hand cave art. This week we used charcoal to put our design ideas on a ‘cave wall’. Next week, we will be adding colour to our artwork!
Year 3 had an amazing day at Creswell Crags learning all about the Stone Age.
We built skeletons to identify Stone Age animals, made music in a Stone Age cave and practised our survival skills by building shelters and hunting.
All the children were wonderful and a credit to Watercliffe Meadow.
It was also an extra special birthday trip for Lewis Perry, who was 8 today.
